Shiv Shahir Babasaheb Purandare

Shivsrushti is a long cherished dream of Shiv Shahir Babasaheb Purandare. Balwant Moreshwar Purandare popularly known as Babasaheb Purandare, was a legendary historian, who devoted his entire life to research on the life and times of Shivaji Maharaj and popularise it. His most famous work, 'Jaanta Raja' is an epic play based on Shivaji Maharaj. He was awarded with Maharashtra Bhushan by the government of Maharashtra. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India's highest second-civilian award on 25th January 2019.
